Ever heard of Caps Lock?

Overhead in the Office.

"What's the keyboard shortcut for changing from upper case to lower case ... it's {F8} or something isn't it."

I don't know what application he was running, maybe he had one of my old keyboards!

Save your password

I am trying to get setup in a new organisation, and getting IT passwords & access is a real nightmare particularly with their excessively high security settings.
(they have internal security setting which are higher than those for external access at most banks ... though that's not necessarily a good measure).
I managed LAN access, (on the extremely locked down corporate workstation) but the internet proxy and e-mail systems are different passwords.

After a day, I rung the IT helpdesk, to get things sorted, & was told not to bother to try to co-ordinate the system passwords.

"Just write them down."
Oh! Nice one mate! So remind me, why have we got these security systems again?

I have subsequently found two more systems requiring separate passwords: the document register
and ... SAP (yuke!)

Musing on the Black Stuff

Whereas I understand the difference between Guinness and Stout (despite the strange tasting stuff which comes out of local bar taps purporting to be Guinness) I am not sure that I know the difference between Stout and Porter (if there is a difference). A couple of dark porters are as good as any stouts I have tasted, and infact I think that the last bottle of Tuatara Porter was better that some tap-drawn Guinness offered up in local pubs, though not matching the bottled stuff.
More research needed ...
Cheers ...
