Save The Internet

The Save the Internet Website is a reaction to the moves by the owners of the pipes of the internet to create a political environment where they can deliver differential services according to how much you have paid.
This is a back-lash to the evolution of the technology from smart-edge/dumb-centre to greater intelligence in the network.
This is what they call the "new generation network", and they are selling the idea to us now by tempting us with lots of geeky-goodies. Unfortunately, the network core will be able to distinguish the different session streams we are creating, and will provide and (more importantly) charge the services accordingly.

The Infinite Fractal Loop

If you had a leaning towards fractals 'n mandelbrots, then here might be a good place to start.

Times to look out for ...

.. when they make interesting patterns.

01:02:03 04/05/06.
(2 minutes and 3 seconds past 1:00am on 4th of May 2006 .. April 5th in the US.)

06:06:06 06/06/06
(6 minutes and 6 seconds past 6:00am on 6th of June 2006)

11:10:09 08/07/06
(10 minutes and 9 seconds past 11:00am on 8th of July 2006 ... 7th of August 2006 in the US.)

... not to mention all the palendromic dates (like 06:05:04 04/05/06)

Trust a Consultant.

Yeah Right ... and now 540 houses at Ocean Beach swells to 980!!
Even Major Lawrence choked on that one!
Still, this is the pattern for these guys.
They did the same at the charrette "public consultation".
They got everyone "involved" by making them feel like they were listening to the discussion, then they wheeled out a plan which had an obvious over-development on top of an archeological site.
So everyone focusses on this, and then they look like the good guys doing a compromise when they remove it, settling the plan to what they had intended in the first place.
Now they are once again presenting an over-development, so when they pare it back to what they had intended, the opposition will be neutralised.
The mayor has fallen for it already:
"There's always going to be middle ground," Mr Yule said.

You gotta take your hat off to Mike Day, he's good at this stuff!
