Calendar of 1752  

A bit of time trivia.
The gregorian calendar dropped 10 days in 1752.
Well actually the Papal Bull of Feb 1582 decreed they be dropped from October 1582, but the protestant countries were reluctant. GB and dominions observed the calendar reform in 1752, and as US is a scion of that, the Unix system shows it if you are perverse enough to want to see it.

.NET (and ICU) use a 64-bit time with the epoch starting at 1st Jan 0001.

I wonder if they maintain a locale based calendar history to give you the correct calendar for any year in any country. The type of thing an inadequately managed geek might implement eh!
