Lets hear it for the Pass of Brandas!
I am sure I am not the first one to observe that just about every mile of the Wellington Harbour shoreline from Pencarrow to Red Rocks (and beyond) is marred by a road (or railway line).
There is only one spot where the land rises from the ocean and is not sliced by a transport link.
And what a little gem it is from Breaker Bay to Seatoun Beach!
You get around the corner under the Fort, and it's like the city is miles away.
It is also the only place where the little blue penguins don't have to take their life into their ... err, fins, to get into the undergrowth.
